Halloween Treats at Sunrise Assisted Living

Halloween is such a fun time to dress up a few of our pet therapy dogs and visit residents of assisted living facilities in the Richmond, VA area.

This year, Kimi, Tedi, Yoshi and Mitsi and I visited Sunrise at Bon Air for some Trick or Treat fun. We were a big hit!! Or I should say the dogs and the candy were.

As always, it was a very heart-warming experience and the dogs were just wonderful with the residents. It’s uncanny that the dogs just seem to know what each person needed.

Here are some highlights of the visit. The last picture is probably my favorite.  🙂

Our little Pumpkin Elf loves being the center of attention!

After a few hours of giving candy and being adorable, even the dogs need a nap!

After a day of pet therapy visits with residents of Sunrise Assisted Living, this little guy needed a nap!

They don’t call it “Working Like a Dog” for nothing!

We’ll be making the rounds during the holidays too. If only I could only teach the dogs to sing Christmas carols!
